IBM Company is introducing a Power 6 server
chip running at 5GHz. The processor is
intended for use in high performance computing.

The Power6 will double the frequency and
bandwidth of the existing Power 5 without
too much increase in its power consumption.

These will probably be available in mid 2007
but you might also look for a Power 6
upgrade not long after that. Until then
just keep on trucking with your 5ghz.
